What's in a blog?

A blog by any other name would smell as sweet.

I recently learned what a blog is "supposed" to be. It's supposed to be a place where you link to other places (and common courtesy is if someone "blogs" to you, you blog them right back) and it's a never ending link-fest. Needless to say... my blog is not that way, nor will it ever be. Truthfully, even if I had amazing places for you to go ( except for my favorite www.freetetris.org ) I wouldn't even know HOW to link it. And that's quite sad because I'm the computer genius in the family... shocking, I know.

So I'm adding a new feature to every post from now on. A random happy note. Something happy about this day. It forces my slightly pessimistic outlook on life to take a break, while it gives readers something better to read than rantings about bad hair days and my essay I'm freaking out about. (Plus, who wants to read a depressing post? No one.)

(: Smiles. Little bursts of sunshine. Happy thoughts. Gumdrops. Sunshine. Love notes. :)

It's my darling and amazing cousin Lydia's 17th birthday! I couldn't possibly love this chica anymore than I already do. I'm so beyond blessed to have her in my life. And Lyd, if I knew how to link to your blog I would.

My mommy's coming home today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 16 days of being in Ireland she's FINALLY coming home! I'm very excited, the house is clean (compliments of not me.... babysitting is fabulous) and I'm anxiously awaiting her arrival to see if she could find crispy m&ms (again, I'd link to it if I could...) and her, of course!

  1. Well, for the record, I don't think you're pessimistic at all. Quite the contrary, actually. And hey, it's Lydia's birthday?! Definitely did not know that!!

p.s. Yay for Moms who come home (and bring candy!)
