Nostalgia

Two posts in one week... it must mean I'm trying to write a paper.... yep, I am.

When Michelle and I were little we HATED storms. We could never sleep during them, we'd turn on Odyssey really loudly and have Mr. Whitaker try to get our mind off of it. We would usually wake my parents up because we were so scared, which they loved. Sometimes we would sleep with them, but usually all it took was a prayer and a reassuring pat on the back.

Well this morning I was literally was shaken awake (is that even proper english, I can't even tell anymore!) by thunder. I mean, it was crazy, walls-shaking, windows-rattling, sounded-like-it-was-right-outside thunder. Then from downstairs I hear my dad say "I wish the twins would come running down the stairs again". I roll my eyes and scoff out loud.... ooooooh Dad.....

Right as I yell back down the stairs "I'm staying right where I am!" I hear from down the hall "I'M COMING!!!!!!!!!!"

So it was a nice family morning, all of us in our pj's (except for Dad, party pooper) and snuggled up on the couch (except for me.... I like my own couch.... party pooper). It reminded me of when we used to do that when we were little, and I got really sentimental and nostalgic. :(

But reality check; paper due this Tuesday, and Erin's very limited writing creativity has decided to go on Spring Break a few weeks early. I've spent all day on this compare/contrast paper and have 2 pages, 4+ hours wasted and 0 ideas left. Yay!

  1. This cracks me up :) I can totally picture your Dad yelling that, and then Chell going, "HERE I COME!!!"

Edward totally listens to Odyssey too, whenever he wants to get his mind off anything scary. Mr. Whitaker has a very calming effect :)
